How To Configure PPTP VPN In Windows 8

Point-to-point tunnelling protocol (PPTP) is a tunnelling method used to establish virtual private network(VPN) in most operating systems. In Windows it is the VPN supported by Microsoft through dial-up networking. There are other clients which also support PPTP with their own packages needed to be installed first before making any connection.

In most cases authentication is required before PPTP can be implemented to work in Windows. That is, you must register with a VPN provider of your choice and use your account information provided to establish your VPN connection or have a username and a password of the server you wish to connect to.

If you are looking for a way to use PPTP in Windows 8 without installing third party client this information is meant for you.
